idependent Ukrainian state - UNR (Ukrainian People's
Republic). With the independent state, came the rise in
interest in folklore and countries history. Many private
and charitable organizations and companies used
Swastika as their emblem since they seen it as a symbol
common to all the people, and part of folkloric heritage.
Thus Swastika was used ona Coat of Arms fro the
National museum of Ukrainian folklore i Lviv (first used
in 1009). Swastika can also be found on the Insurance
bond produced by the Carpatho-Ukrainians in 1910.
again became popular symbol in Ukraine. The 14th
Grenadier division SS Galicia, formed by the Germans
from the Ukrainians in Galicia had its own flag, wich had
the traditional blue and yellow colors with a black
Swastika in the middle.Some Ukrainian SS regiments would
have large swastikas painted on their helmets. Ukrainian
Schutzmanschaften(Police) batallions were the only Schuma
batallions to be completely outfitted with Swastika regalias.
This included cap badge, epolets, sleave patch and the belt
buckle.

used use of Swastika. Medieval Swarga can be found as a symbol for many rock bands.Thus gothic-folk band
KOMY VNYZ uses Swarga as part of its logo. Blue
and yellow Swastika from Kievan cathedral used by an
Oi band TSYRIUL'NJA im. KOTOVSKOGO.
Swastika is currentlyused by various parties, musical
bands and historical organizations, and never associated
with the WWII, but rather with the forgotten part of
Ukrainian culture.
