The key U.S. and foreign annual interest rates below are a guide to
general levels but don't always represent actual transactions.

PRIME RATE: 6%. The base rate on corporate loans posted by at least
75% of the nation's 30 largest banks.

FEDERAL FUNDS: 3% high, 27/g% low, 27/% near closing bid, 215/,%
offered. Reserves traded among commercial banks for overnight use in

DISCOUNT RATE: 3%. The charge on loans to depository institutions by
the Federal Reserve Banks.

CALL MONEY: 5%. The charge on loans to brokers on stock exchange

COMMERCIAL PAPER: placed directly by General Electric Capital
Cop;.: 3.22% 30 to 59 days; 3.20% 60 to 119 days; 3.25% 120 to 149 days;

3.27% 150 to 179 days; 3.28% 180 to 239 says; 3.38% 240 to 270 days.

COMMERCIAL PAPER: High-grade unsecured notes sold through
dealers by major corporations: 3.35% 30 days; 3.35% 60 days; 3.35% 90
days.

CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT: 2.61% one month; 2.66% two months;

2.69% three months; 2.78% six months; 3.02% one year. Average of top rates
paid by major New York banks on primary new issues of negotiable C.D.s,
usually on amounts of $1 million and more. The minimum unit is $100,000.
Typical rates in the secondary market: 3.30% one month; 3.32% three
months; 3.35% six months.

BANKERS ACCEPTANCES: 3.19% 30 days; 3.19% 60 days; 3.20% 90
days; 3.22% 120 days; 3.25% 150 days; 3.28% 180 days. Offered rates of
negotiable, bank-backed business credit instruments typically financing an
import order.

LONDON LATE EURODOLLARS: 31/16%-215/16% one month; 35/16%-
33/16% two months; 33/8% - 31/4 % three months; 31/2% - 33/8% six months.

LONDON INTER BANK OFFERED RATES (LIBOR): 3 5/16% one
month; 3 3/8% three months; 3 1/2% six months; 3 13/16% one year. The
average of interbank offered rates for dollar deposits in the London market
based on quotations at five major banks. Effective rate for contracts enterd
into two days from date appearing at top of this column.

FOREIGN PRIME RATES: Canada5.50%; Germany6.05%; Japan 3%;

Switzerland 7.50%; Britain 6%. These rate indications aren't directly
comparable; lending practices vary widely by location.

TREASURY BILLS: Results of the Monday, December 13,1993, auction
of short-term U.S. government bills, sold ata discountfrom face value in units
of $10.000 to $1 million: 3.06%, 13 weeks; 3.26%, 26 weeks.

FEDERAL HOME LOAN MORTGAGE CORP. (Freddie Mac): Posted
yields on 30-year mortgage commitments. Delivery within 30 days 7.07%, 60
days 7.14%, standard conventional fixed-rate mortgages; 3.875%, 2% rate
